Ever growing developments in SEO has led to differences in pricing strategies between different professionals and various other agencies. While there are some who provide SEO services virtually free of cost until results are achieved (at inflated prices), there are some who charge rates which are offered on a reasonable monthly retainer system.

There arises a state of confusion in the minds of the clients as to whether the services provided by these agencies are reliable and help in increasing the traffic of the website and also help to improve the rankings with the kind of charges being levied on them. Also one may not be aware of the fact that the methods adopted by these agencies are ethical in nature or not.

There are certain agencies which provide services at a high quality at competitive or affordable price which makes them acceptable. There is no particular standard pricing policy when it comes to services rendered by SEO agencies. This is because various clients demand services in various forms. Certain agencies provide services in a standardised form. Customised services as needed by a website are also provided by some agencies.

The amount of time, dedication, effort, attention all determines the final cost. Pricing will also depend on how competitive the market is. If the client’s business is not in a highly competitive environment, then it becomes easier to get higher search rankings and cost would be affordable. Pricing goes up in a competitive environment as it gets difficult to attain higher search rankings.

Well established and old websites are priced at a lower rate as they are favored more by search engines. If complex technologies are used in a website which depends upon the business needs, then there will be more effort and related pricing structures will be high. Pricing varies according to various factors which may be either tangible or intangible in nature.
